The Caldor Fire impacted air quality in the Lake Tahoe region Tuesday as smoke laid over valleys. The fire was approaching the Kirkwood resort area as well.
The Caldor Fire burns near Meyers, South Lake Tahoe, Caples Lake, and Kirkwood Resort Tuesday August 31st, 2021. The fire was over 199,600 acres and 18% contained per the evening update. A red flag warning was in place through the next day until 11pm.
