The Caldor Fire burns near South Lake Tahoe in the Tahoe National Forest Wednesday September 1st, 2021. The fire led to tens of thousands being evacuated around the lake. As of Wednesday morning the fire was 204,390 acres and 20% contained. The El Dorado Hotshots forest service crew worked to remove trees from in front of the fireline as the blaze moved through the mountains.
